Champazz is a Spanish Ribbed Newt(Pleurodeles Waltl) and is approx 4", unsexed, hatched in October 2023. He/she is in the process of losing its gills(metamorphosis). Mom is a wild type, dad is a leucistic. Currently eats red wriggler worms, and is being introduced to soft sinking salmon pellets. Caring for spanish ribbed newts is very similar to caring for axolotls.
